Acrel ATE800 series RFID wireless temperature measurement is used for contact temperature measurement in medium-voltage switchgear.

I.Temperature Measurement Principle

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, an automatic identification technology that uses radio waves for data exchange. RFID temperature measurement technology is an innovative application combining RFID wireless identification technology and temperature sensing technology. Its core function is to read temperature data from an RFID sensor installed at the location to be measured via a receiver, thus achieving temperature measurement at the sensing point. The main process involves the receiver emitting a specific electromagnetic wave signal through its antenna. When the passive temperature sensor is within the RFID receiver's radio frequency field, the sensor's internal antenna receives the electromagnetic wave and converts it into the operating voltage required by the internal temperature sensor, MCU, and RF chip, triggering temperature acquisition. The sensor then packages the temperature data and sensor identification code (ID number) into a data frame and transmits it to the receiver as a radio frequency signal via the sensor antenna. After receiving the radio frequency signal from the sensor, the receiver demodulates and decodes it into a digital signal, extracting the sensor identification code and temperature data.

Installation Precautions: ① The sensor body and antenna should be facing each other; ② When installing ATE800-B/ATE800-U, its group number should be consistent with that of ATC800-4/ATC800-8. Install according to the label text. For "Code: 001", it is recommended to install it at the first temperature measurement point of the first cabinet, and then install them sequentially according to the temperature measurement point order. ③ For antenna coaxial cable routing, use the switch cabinet cable trays or run the cable along the cabinet wall.
